Oslo Kunstforening
Founded in 1836, Oslo Kunstforening has been a vital meeting place for contemporary artists and art enthusiasts. It fosters artistic exchange, new ideas, and experimentation, remaining a dynamic hub for exhibitions and creative expression.
Over time, Oslo Kunstforening has become an important bridge between the established and emerging voices in the art world. They are driven by passion, curiosity, and a desire to elevate art on the artists’ terms.
To honor Oslo Kunstforening’s heritage while looking ahead, we set out to create an identity that balances history with renewal. Our goal was to capture their legacy while ensuring a dynamic and contemporary presence—one that evolves with the art it represents.

The new logo and typography are deeply rooted in the art association’s history while allowing for movement and change. The house from the original logo has been transformed into a three-dimensional graphic element. The color palette includes a shade that directly responds to the artwork, changing with each new exhibition.

This identity is designed to honor the past, embrace the present, and always keep art at the center. By balancing history with innovation, Oslo Kunstforening continues to be a space where artistic expression thrives. The evolving visual identity reflects their commitment to supporting artists, engaging audiences, and fostering meaningful dialogue around contemporary art. With an ever-changing yet deeply rooted approach, Oslo Kunstforening remains dedicated to shaping the future of art while preserving its rich legacy.
