blue nun has often been seen as an old fashioned and affordable white wine. That’s why the new packaging had to be modern, yet faithful to it’s origin. The new nun is now a bit more challenging. It’s flirtatious and in the cross-section between rebellion and virginity. By using subtle religious symbols in the design, with a youthful look, it was supposed to attract the female who challenges the sanctimonious.

the new Design adopts visual elements from different religions, where the cross, the halo, and the crossed arms of hinduism are all present. At the same time, the imagery hints that the modern nun might not be as conservative as thought.
